Reverse air baghouses use axial or centrifugal fans as the cleaning method for the filter bags, which is generally gentler on the filter bags than a reverse pulse cleaning method. This enables the selection of different filter media to that of a reverse pulse collector, often resulting in lower maintenance and energy costs. Whilst not suitable for all applications, when utilised appropriately, a reverse air baghouse is an affordable and reliable option.
Vortex Engineering’s series of reverse pulse baghouse designs has been proven effective and enduring across many industries over the years. With a unique inlet design and multiple configurations, we can select a suitable size and filtration velocity for any application.
Our PA and PB series reverse pulse baghouses are suitable for high temperature applications. They are frequently used for particulate emission control from boilers, metal furnaces, kilns and dryers. Vortex has refined the design of high temperature baghouses to combine high collection efficiency with low operation and maintenance costs.
