Uditha Gayan Menake holds a BSc (Hons) in Engineering, an MBA, and an MSc (First Class) in Engineering Project Management. He is also a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, bringing a strong combination of engineering, project management and process improvement expertise to his role at Vortex Engineering.
His experience includes project engineering, project management, supply chain, installation and commissioning, with a background in large-scale manufacturing projects. His previous work includes a US$20 million greenfield manufacturing plant project in Vietnam and US$10 million brownfield manufacturing projects in Sri Lanka for Michelin.
At Vortex Engineering, Uditha is responsible for project engineering, design, health and safety, and client relationships. He works across technical and operational requirements, helping translate complex project specifications into practical solutions.
He particularly enjoys transforming complex technical requirements into operational reality, working closely with clients and cross-functional teams to deliver safe and cost-effective manufacturing solutions.
Uditha is a member of the PMI New Zealand (PMINZ) chapter and the Lean Construction Student Association NZ.
