Tim graduated with a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Canterbury in 2019. He completed his university work experiences at Wyma Solutions, which began his career in Engineering Design.
After graduating, he worked at Farra Engineering in Christchurch, predominantly working on Te Pae (Christchurch Convention Centre) with a focus on architectural sheet metal cladding. During his time at Farra, he also worked alongside their Dunedin team, working on building maintenance units, bespoke gantry cranes and other general engineering jobs.
In 2021, he joined Vynco Industries where his role focused on sheet metal design and manufacture on a range of products for the electrical industry. The role saw him gain deeper understanding of manufacturing processes and gave exposure to product design.
Tim joined vortex in 2025 with a desire to expand his engineering knowledge and build off the experience he currently has.
