Bhavesh graduated with a Master of Mechanical Engineering from the University of Auckland in 2020, where he researched the performance of a screwless extruder for producing composites from recycled plastics. This project strengthened his technical understanding of material properties, testing methods, and sustainable manufacturing practices.
He began his engineering career in the manufacturing industry, where he coordinated production schedules, managed materials, and optimised workflows between departments. During this time, he was also involved in sheet metal design and fabrication, working closely with engineering and production teams. The role helped him develop a deeper understanding of manufacturing processes and provided valuable exposure to product design.
In 2023, Bhavesh joined REL Group, where he focused on the mechanical and structural design of integrated farming systems. His work included designing silos, catwalks, access ladders, and other agricultural structures, ensuring compliance with AS/NZ standards. He contributed to improving system designs, reducing manufacturing costs, and supporting project and sales teams with tailored engineering solutions.
Bhavesh joined Vortex in 2025 with a desire to further expand his engineering knowledge and continue building on his experience in mechanical design, manufacturing, and project delivery.
