We were pleased to be invited by the University of Canterbury to their Engineering Industry Night, where our project manager, Avern, had the opportunity to share insights into what we do at Vortex. Along with other engineers from various engineering companies, Avern presented our work, covering everything from design and fabrication to manufacturing and installation.
Avern also shared our project we completed for the University of Canterbury, where we helped convert their coal-fired boilers to biomass as part of their commitment to reducing carbon emissions. This project has significantly reduced UC’s carbon footprint, achieving a major reduction in emissions, and it was great for the students to learn about the impact of such projects on both the environment and the engineering industry.
Industry night provided students with a valuable opportunity to learn about the diverse paths they can pursue in the industry and network with professionals already making a difference. The event also highlighted the positive contributions companies like ours are making toward environmental sustainability. A great evening of learning!
