Some of the important factors of dust extraction are:

• Ensuring you have sufficient extraction at the machine head to protect your equipment.
• Ensuring once you have control of the dust, you then capture it effectively and process it with minimal environmental effects.

Important fume control factors:

• Making sure that there is sufficient airflow in the work environment to give an appropriate number of air changes per hour to ensure worker safety in accordance with O.H.S. requirements.
• Ensuring the airflow conditions are appropriate when using fume extraction systems with industrial boilers and burners.
• Ensuring that the capturing media used is appropriate to minimise any environmental impact in compliance with resource consents.
• Once we have control of the dust and fume it can then be processed as required. This can involve transporting to a waste bin, storage bin, briquetting machine or a boiler feed system.
