Raamkumar holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Mechatronics from the University of Canterbury, completed in 2020. He gained early experience at Skope Industries, where he investigated commodity materials in refrigeration products and parts. At Farmec Ltd, as a Design Intern, he designed and modified agricultural machinery equipment.
In 2020, Raamkumar served as a Research Assistant at the University of Canterbury, assisting with PhD projects including building rigs, running simulations, conducting tests, and gathering data. After graduating, he joined Waimea Group Ltd in 2021 as a Graduate Mechanical Engineer. he later transitioned into technical sales while continuing to support the design, sales, procurement, fabrication, and assembly teams. At Waimea, Raamkumar contributed to the design and manufacturing of specialist utility vehicles, including crane trucks, arborist trucks, EWP bucket trucks, and wastewater and vacuum trucks.
With a strong passion for design and manufacturing, Raamkumar joined Vortex Engineering Ltd as a Project/Design Engineer, focusing on the air and pollution control industry. His expertise spans mechanical design, product development, technical sales, project management, and cross-functional team collaboration.
