The project’s primary objective is to upgrade the sawmill’s emission control capabilities, aligning with stringent council regulations.
Scope of Work:
The scope encompasses the design, manufacturing, painting, and shipping of a 36-6 multicyclone with inlet transition and support legs. Additionally, the multicyclone and transition pieces are to be insulated and clad, with consideration for foundation reaction loads. Taylors, a group company, was contracted for the manufacturing.
Rosvall Sawmill operates a Vekos 4.25 boiler, to reduce emissions they introduced a 36-6 multicyclone, positioned between the existing stack and the building. This was proposed as a solution to reduce emissions to acceptable levels. One of the key challenges was finding a company capable of insulating and cladding the components to meet the client’s required timeframe.
This project illustrates a successful collaboration between Vortex and Rosvall Sawmill, targeting a significant environmental improvement. By installing the 36-6 multicyclone, Rosvall Sawmill is continuing to demonstrate their commitment to sustainable lumber processing practices and compliance with required emissions control.
